Camille Norment

Working with, and through sound in forms including art, performance, and composition, Camille Norment utilizes the notion of cultural psychoacoustics as both an aesthetic and conceptual framework. She defines this term as the investigation of socio-cultural phenomena through sound and music - particularly instances of sonic sonic and social dissonance. Current investigations continue the exploration of feedback in relation to revolution, evolution, and power structures.

Norment represented Norway in the 56th Venice Biennial (2015), and is currently developing commissions for the Whitney Museum and the Dia Art Foundation in New York amongst other projects.
