This year, it is exactly 30 years since Jan Bang and Erik Honoré played their very first concert together. Novelist Karl Ove Knausgård, then a young journalist in local newspaper Fædrelandsvennen, wrote: «One cannot help bringing out the big superlatives after experiencing The Well’s debut concert last night.»
Since then, Punkt’s artistic
directors have collaborated on a number of projects. Their duo releases include
the albums «Uncommon Deities» on David Sylvian’s label Samadhisound, «Birth Wish»
with Christian Wallumrød and Arve Henriksen, «Punkt Live Remixes vol. 1» with
Jon Hassell and Sidsel Endresen, and «Crime Scenes». Bang and Honoré have
produced three albums for Arve Henriksen, contributed to albums by David
Sylvian, Nils Petter Molvær, Eivind Aarset, Unni Wilhelmsen and other artists,
and composed film scores and music for audiovisual installations.
Live, they have toured
extensively with artists like Sidsel Endresen, Arve Henriksen and Nils Petter
Molvær, and brought the Punkt concept to more than 20 European cities, Asia and
At Punkt 17, Bang and Honoré
