We look forward to a Punkt 2020 that had to change, and ended up with more premieres and first encounters than perhaps any previous Punkt edition:
We proudly present a brand new commissioned work by Artist in Residence Anja Lauvdal, "The School of Lost Borders". Anja also brings her piano trio Moskus and the colourful "jazz playground" Finity. The latter will perform material from their new album of radically reworked Destiny's Child songs.
We highly anticipate the concert premieres of Susanna's "Baudelaire & Piano"; Arve Henriksen / Jan Bang / Eivind Aarset's "The Height of the Reeds"; Aarset/Bang's "Snow Catches on her Eyelashes"; and the brilliant duo Frode Haltli / Erlend Apneseth.
The trademark Live Remixes include several constellations curated exclusively for Punkt 2020: Nils Petter Molvær / Kristian Isachsen / Hans Hulbækmo; Vilde&Inga / Erik Honoré; Tone Åse / Veslemøy Narvesen; Kristine Hoff / Kristian Isachsen, interspersed with solo performances by Mats Eilertsen, Helge Sten, Audun Kleive, and DJ Strangefruit.
Everything will take place in the completely refurbished Hotel Norge's new top floor venue, "Stup", which offers great sonic conditions and a panoramic view of Kristiansand harbour and city centre.
Of course, the festival will be arranged in line with COVID-19 regulations. This means that only a limited number of Festival and Day Passes are available, so get yours now:
